Words (50 word poem)

small drops
are words
just dribbles
trickling into
a lost, and
illimitably
clamoring
wasteland

words like
seeds
cast among
thorns and
soil alike
tossed to chance
but too few
to find fertility?

yet fate favors
a stubbornly
persistent gardener
and one tree
is born—matures…
fruit ripens—
new seeds
spread

  1. Matthew, How fortunate to have found you. Rather, to have been found by you. Your poetry moves me. this is, like you said, on the same wavelength. I see so much of myself in your words. Pleasure reading you.
