The Disquiet Sea

Pools of love and kindness
swirl as a maelstrom
filtering slowly
into vast oceans
of indifference

pools are never remembered
once snatched by currents—
fluxed in rhythm—
slicing through still water—
and dragged to the nether

an ocean controls not
the ever straining tides
filling and emptying as breath
tugging at the soul
of a disquieted sea

  1. Ahh, I never saw this at the time! I was so busy I had no time for WordPress in December, hence why I published hardly anything apart from 4 posts at the end of the month. Your words were definitely missed, I hope you’ll find the time and inspiration to write and post more often from now on. Everyone is entitled to a break, but when you write like *this*, it’s almost criminal to be away for too long – beautiful!
