No More

The strain of worthlessness
pulls heavy at the fibers of my being
the weight of my own nothingness
splinters my soul as shattering bone
this is disease
there is no cure
only undying torment

emptiness trapped by form
the flesh is real—nothing more
fuck intentions—curse dreams
façades for careening fallacies
this is terror
the bleakness
ever unknowing

no more vigils
no more sigils
just thine own self
known and untrue

  1. Yes Matt, I’ll second what someone said, missed seeing you around. I can understand about being busy. I had to come back to make my comment because I had to rush out earlier! Wonderful poem Matt. We are much needed in society and yet there are times I feel so overlooked that I wonder why am I here? Sorry to be a downer, I’m really not depressed, lol!

    • Thanks Dara! It’s nice to be missed. I’ve been super busy at work and home (doing a bit of remodeling)…its hard to find time to read or post these days. I’m sure everything will calm down at some point.

I appreciate you stopping by, reading and commenting. Hope things are going well for you.

      Take good care!

  2. “Thine own self, known and untrue.” This is what I am talking about when I speak of feeling words! WOW! You see, your raw emotion pours forth honesty, self-reflection and embracing all that is our BEing is not at all easy, but always worth the effort. You pull the reader right into your mind, heart, soul, experience…how incredible is that?! This was one of many posts I had read when my like button wasn’t working, but I will, over time, make my way back through them. What you share is worth the effort of doing so.
