Days of Man – A Quote and Bonus Poem Challenge – Day 3

too short are the days of man
too soon the sun falls to the hills
when night falls, will you lament
for all the days spent dying?

will you decide to live in torment
suffering in regret as you wither?
or will you decide to truly live?
time halts for none—I beseech you…

love with all your heart today, that you lament not
while sun still shines and winds still grace you
“all we have to decide is what…”
“…to do with the time that is given us”

“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Thanks Nathalie for thinking of me and the nomination for this challenge! It is my hope and anyone reading this will go check out Nat over at Arwenaragornstar!! You will not be disappointed!

I have no specific nominees for this challenge; rather, I wish to present this as an open challenge for everyone reading this! I urge you to challenge yourself and spread this to others!

The rules for this challenge are:

  1. Each day for three consecutive days post a quote (any quote – you can even come up with your own) and a poem to accompany it.
  2. On each day nominate 3 bloggers for the challenge.
  3. Don’t forget to thank the blogger who nominated you

  1. OMG I started working on something inspired by this quote 3 days ago! I shall have to bin it now because you’ve done such a good job. I LOVE this, my heart actually skipped a beat as soon as I saw the Gandalf pic appear Lol, I’m such a crazy LOTR fan that it’s become a running joke.
Anyway, enough rambling (sorry Matt), this is really inspiring and something I truly believe in too ❤ multiplied by 10 ( at least 😛 )
